Reminders

Create internal reminders for yourself and your team, and automatically send customer reminders (such as service reminders) by email and SMS

Viewing Reminders

Reminders are available in the Admin interface. To view your reminders, press the bell icon in the top right corner. This will show you Pending reminders for today or previous days. You can also view Sent reminders or all reminders.

Creating a Reminder

To create a reminder:

  • Find the relevant Customer

  • Click the Reminders tab

  • Click "+ New"

  • Fill in at least a date and a description.

  • Click Save

If you want the reminder to be automatically sent to the Customer, also select a Contact who has either an email address or mobile number saved. (Currently, only UK mobile numbers are supported for this feature.)

If you intend for the reminder to be an internal message for your own team, select a team member or All Users.

New Reminders have a status of 'Pending'.

Automatically Sending Reminders

Reminders will be sent by SMS or email if the Contact attached to the Reminder has a valid UK mobile number or a valid email address.

To change the time that Reminders are sent, go to Settings > System Configuration > Automation > Time To Send Automatic Reminders. This should be the hour of the day in 24-hour format, without a leading zero (eg: 8 = 8.00am, 15 = 3.00pm).

Jobable uses separate templates for SMS and email reminders. These can be edited in Settings > System Configuration > Templates > Reminder Body Email or Reminder Body Sms. The {reminder_description} placeholder can be used, this will be replaced with the text in the reminder description.

Reminders that are sent automatically will be set to a status of 'Sent'.

To disable the automatic sending of Reminders, go to Settings > System Configuration > Automation > Time To Send Automatic Reminders and set this to a blank or non-numeric value.

Dismissing Reminders

You can manually dismiss a Reminder by clicking the pencil icon to edit it, ticking the Complete box and clicking Save. This will change the Reminder status to 'Complete'.
