Xero uses tax type's to identify different tax rates and these can differ from one country to another. If you are using Xero and wish Jobable to post invoices to your Xero account you need to ensure your tax types's are set correctly.
1. Open the Xero help page link below which shows all tax type's for all countries. For this example we will look at UK tax rates but the process is the same for all countries; just choose the correct table that shows your own countries tax types.
2. In the table for the UK below we can see the Xero defined tax type's along with rate and name to help identify the tax types you require. If you are in doubt on which tax types you require for your business, check with your book keeper or accountant as Jobable cannot provide support for tax advice.
3. In Jobable, navigate to 'Settings > Manage Sales Tax' to see the list of all Sales Taxes configured in your Jobable account.
For this example, let us say we would like to ensure invoices using 'UK VAT @20%' will be created with 'OUTPUT2 - 20.0 - (20% VAT on Income)' in Xero.
5. Click the pencil icon to edit the 'UK VAT @20%' item in Jobable.
6. Add the Xero Tax Type OUTPUT2 in the Xero Tax ID field.
7. Click Save and invoices created in Xero will always have this tax type, when UK VAT @ 20% has been selected in Jobable.
8. Repeat the above steps 5-8 for all the other items in the Tax Settings list to link all your other tax types.
