If you have issues with the engineer's remote web app, this article should help you resolve it. Click on an issue to see the resolution.

I'm stuck trying to syncronise jobs - the wheel just goes round endlessly

Here are a number of things you can try to identify the issue:-

  1. Cancel the sync process by clicking the home button at top right of your browser to return you to the job list page.

  2. Check the signal indicator on your device - move to a different place if you have low or no signal and try to sync again.

  3. Your login may have expired - Select 'Logout' from the menu that appears when you click on your name at the top right corner. And then try logging in again.

  4. An unexpected error on a single job maybe causing sync to stall. Call your administrator and ask them to remove all the jobs from your schedule. Now try to sync again. If it now works, ask them to add jobs back one at a time. Sync your device after they add each job. By doing this you will identify the job containing the error. Your administrator will need to fix the error on the job before you can continue to sync all jobs again.

I signed on to the wrong job

If you sign on to the wrong job you have two options:-

Sign-off the job

  1. Complete the sign-off of the job and indicate clearly in the job description it was signed on in error.

  2. Sync your device.

  3. Contact your administrator who can delete the visit from the job.

  4. Next time you sync your device you will be able to sign-on to the job again.

Force Refresh

WARNING: Force refresh effectively dumps all job data in memory and pulls down your job list again afresh. If you have any completed jobs that were not yet sync'd the job data will be lost so we only recommend this option if you are sure all completed jobs have already been sync'd with your office.

To carry out a force refresh:-

  1. Select 'Force Refresh' from the menu that appears when you click on your name at the top right corner.

  2. Your device should refresh and download your jobs again from the server.

  3. The job signed-on in error will no longer be signed-on.

App does not work offline - page not found

If the Remote web app isn't working offline it's because you are using an incompatible browser.

Bear in mind that Jobable (as with any other system) requires an internet connection to update job data. If you have no signal, Jobable cannot update, but if you are using the correct browser you can still sign on and off jobs even though you are offline.

Please use the correct compatible browser for your device type as below:-

Android (Tablets / Phones)

Download and use Chrome browser to allow signing on and off jobs offline, with or without signal.

Although Jobable Remote will run in other browsers, it may not work offline.

iOS (iPhone / iPad)

Use the Safari browser that comes pre-installed on your iOS device to allow signing on and off jobs offline, with or without signal.

Although Jobable Remote will run in other browsers on your iOS device, Apple's security controls only permit offline functions in Safari.

Remote is not sending an up to date GPS location

Your location will not be updated if you have not allowed location permissions for Remote. Please allow location permissions.
